Khoysan sea salt is completely untreated and free from any kind of artificial additives, but all the more rich in valuable minerals and micronutrients. They are harvested by hand in salt gardens on the west coast of South Africa (approx. 180 Km from Cape Town).

Unique is the geological proximity of these salt gardens, that are not supplied like many other sea salt extractions from the high tide, but from a 400 year old under ground sea. Khoysan sea salt are therefore completely pure and valuable salt – free from heavy metals and other environmental contamination that the sea otherwise contains today.
